Vendor Policy

Outdoor vending on masjid grounds · Revised October 2026

All products MUST be Halal.

ICCSC welcomes approved vendors who provide products and services that benefit our community. To preserve the Islamic environment of the masjid and ensure safety, cleanliness and fairness, all vendors must follow the requirements below.

Vendor approval

All vendors must receive prior approval from ICCSC before selling, distributing products or offering services on masjid property. Approval is limited to the approved vendor, products or services, date, time and assigned location. Approval may not be transferred to another vendor.

Outdoor vending only

Vending is permitted outside the masjid building only, unless specifically authorized by ICCSC. Vendors must remain within the location or locations specifically assigned and approved by ICCSC, and may not block entrances, exits, sidewalks, fire lanes, accessible routes or parking areas.

Respect for salah and masjid activities

Masjid worship and programming always take priority over commercial activity. ICCSC may require vending to pause during congregational salah, khutbahs, lectures or other programs. No setup, selling or soliciting may occur from the Jumu'ah adhan until the salah has ended. Loud music, amplified advertising, shouting or disruptive solicitation is prohibited.

Cleanliness

Vendors must maintain a clean vending area and remove all trash, equipment, signage, food waste, grease and other materials before leaving. Grease, oil, food waste or wastewater may not be dumped anywhere on masjid grounds or into drains without authorization.

Conduct and presentation

Vendors and their staff must conduct themselves respectfully and in a manner appropriate for the masjid environment. Displays, merchandise, signage, clothing, language and interactions with community members must be appropriate. The ICCSC name or logo may not be used for vendor advertising without prior permission.

Vendor responsibility

Vendors are responsible for their employees, merchandise, equipment, money, vehicles and property, and for damage caused by their operations. ICCSC is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged goods. ICCSC may require proof of applicable licenses, permits, insurance or halal sourcing.

Food safety

We want everyone to go home happy and healthy, so food vendors are responsible for the safety and quality of everything they sell. Keep food fresh, covered, clean and at a safe temperature, follow the health rules that apply to you, and be ready to tell customers what is in it, especially common allergens. ICCSC is not responsible for any illness caused by food sold at the marketplace.

Vending privileges

Vending on ICCSC property is a privilege, not a guaranteed right. ICCSC reserves the right to approve or decline vendors, limit vendor types or numbers, assign locations and operating times, require removal of unapproved items, and suspend or revoke vending privileges when necessary for safety, masjid operations, religious activities or failure to follow these guidelines.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for helping us maintain a safe, welcoming, clean and Islamically appropriate environment for our community.
