Membership

Membership to ICCSC is free of charge. We encourage our community to get involved and become more active in the affairs of your community by becoming a member.

Below are eligibility requirements and procedure for membership per Article V in the ICCSC Bylaws:

  1. Eligibility
  2. Any Muslim aged 18 years or older, whose belief is according to Qur'an and Sunnah as stated in the Basic Law, who lives in the Greater Charlotte area and endeavors to practice Islam as a total way of life is eligible for membership after acceptance of the Constitution and Bylaws of ICCSC.

  3. Procedure
    1. Kindly fill out the online Membership form (now closed for upcoming Shura election).
    2. Answer all questions fully and accurately.
    3. After submission, the ICCSC Membership Committee will review your application and a member will contact you by email provided in the application notifying you with the application's status.
  4. Appeal
  5. An applicant whose application has been disapproved can request a hearing with the Shura (see Art. VIII Sec. 3).

  6. Suspension
  7. The Shura may suspend or expel a member after an appropriate hearing or reinstate former member on such terms and conditions deemed appropriate by it. The membership shall be revoked by the Shura if at any time a member is found to be in noncompliance with the Basic Law.
