Tarawih prayers are held every night during Ramadan following Isha prayer. View Isha Iqama
Tarawih consists of 8 raka'at followed by Witr prayer.
Sisters: Sisters pray in the upstairs musalla. The entrance from the parking lot is to the right of the building (follow the signs).
Babysitting is available on weekends from Isha prayers onwards to help families attend comfortably.
We expect larger crowds on Friday and Saturday nights. Please arrive early to register your children with our volunteers.

It is Sunnah to break your fast with dates and water before praying Maghrib. The full dinner is served after Maghrib prayer.
Volunteers needed: Help is always appreciated for iftar setup, serving, and cleanup. Sign up to volunteer.
Daily Qiyam prayers are led by the Imam and begin at these scheduled times, followed by Suhoor (pre-dawn meal).
Qiyam-ul-Layl (night prayer) is especially virtuous during the last ten nights of Ramadan when we seek Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree).
The Prophet (SAW) said: "Look for Laylat al-Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan." [Bukhari]
The masjid doors open early to accommodate those joining for Qiyam. Suhoor is provided after the prayer.
Itikaf is the practice of secluding oneself in the masjid for worship during the last ten days of Ramadan, following the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW).
Registration required: Space is limited.
What to bring: Sleeping bag or bedding, personal items, and any medications.
Guidelines: Those in Itikaf should remain in the masjid, focusing on worship, Quran recitation, and dhikr. Leaving the masjid (except for necessities) breaks the Itikaf.
Parking: Please use the designated parking areas. During busy nights (especially weekends and the last ten nights), overflow parking may be directed by volunteers.
Arrive early: On Friday and Saturday nights, the parking lot fills quickly. Arriving 15-20 minutes before Isha is recommended.
Strollers: Strollers need to be parked outside the masjid.
Security: Security personnel are present during Ramadan nights. Please follow their instructions and report any concerns immediately.
Valuables: Do not leave valuables visible in your vehicle. The masjid is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
After considering the rate of inflation, Zakat ul Fitr for this year is determined to be $15 per person, and Fidya $15 per day (missed fast).
You can fulfill these obligations online or with cash/check using the appropriate envelope and the donation box.
Zakat ul Fitr must be fulfilled before Eid Prayer.
Fidya must be paid for each fast missed due to a chronic condition.
Stop eating before Fajr Adhan: You must stop eating and drinking before the Fajr time begins. Check the prayer calendar for daily Fajr times.
Why do masjids in Charlotte have different Fajr times? Fajr timing is determined by true dawn (when light appears on the horizon).
ICCSC uses the Umm al-Qura calculation method. This is a widely accepted standard used by many Islamic organizations.
Tip: Make your intention (niyyah) to fast before going to bed. If you oversleep and miss Suhoor, you still continue your fast for the day.
